Conversation of pink and blue.

This is more of a sampler than anything. The little leaves are a 3-d edging motif, modified to suit my needs, and the puff-balls are essentially raised spiderwebs.

Recently, one of my family members went back to Russia, and I've got an embroidery book out of it. (In it, were some -nice- geometric filling stitches that I have NO patience for.)

That makes three guides, along with a dictionary of stitches and another, much older book, which lists a fair amount of stitches that are not in the dictionary. Ex: raised cup stitch. That thing is a pain in the bum, but pretty as all hells.


The body of Blue is knit, applique'd and stuffed. The golden line down the center is actually a connecting stitch, that did not turn out well. At all.

Eye of Blue is a small moonstone, left over from the metal-working days.
